Kristin C. Adams

Overview

I’m Kristin Adams, a breast cancer conqueress. My journey began in 2021 when I was first diagnosed and underwent a bilateral mastectomy. Complications from surgery made healing a long and difficult road, and just one month later, my husband was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. With both of us facing cancer, I turned down chemotherapy, believing our family couldn’t handle both parents going through treatment at the same time. Instead, I opted for Tamoxifen. After years of complications and surgeries, my recurrence was discovered in 2023—a devastating moment that made me realize my body was trying to tell me something.

Determined to understand why cancer had returned, I immersed myself in research, sifting through overwhelming information and holding onto what resonated. I ultimately went through chemotherapy with the support of an integrative oncologist, which unfortunately did very little to the tumor, and wreaked havoc on my body. I believe it was everything I did afterward that truly led to healing.

I took a comprehensive approach, addressing my body, mind, and environment. I changed my diet, reduced toxins, prioritized sleep, and managed stress. I sought both medical and alternative therapies, tailored my lifestyle based on genetic insights, and focused on emotional healing. Movement, a strong support system, meditation, visualization, and gratitude became central to my life. Rather than just fighting disease, I focused on creating the best possible conditions for my body to heal and thrive. In December 2024, I was over the moon to hear the words: “No evidence of disease.”

My journey has inspired me to become a holistic cancer coach so that I can help others through this complex and deeply personal journey. Healing is possible, in more ways than you can imagine, and I’m here to guide and support others on their own path to healing.
