Proud of Our 2014 Accomplishments

When I established this non-profit back in 1977, I never envisioned that it would touch over 100,000 lives all over the US and beyond. Yet with our modest budget and small staff, just look at what we have done!
MILESTONES
- Celebrated our 37th year of service
- Qualified as a 2014 Top Rated Nonprofit through GreatNonprofits.org
- Launched our online on-demand health professional holistic cancer certification training
- Re-qualified for a $120,000 advertising grant from the Google Foundation
EDUCATION
- Provided 819 hours of individualized counseling to 210 cancer patients nationwide and abroad
- Presented 33 cancer and nutrition lectures in 31 US cities across 10 states
- Certified 23 additional health professionals through our Holistic Cancer Educator Certification Program
- Taught 15 healthy eating and cancer prevention classes to 448 high school and college students through our Youth Nutrition and Prevention Program
- Published a new book, Alphabetical Beat Cancer Diet Guide and over 100 new blog site articles
EVENTS
- Produced our fifth annual Beat Cancer Golf Open
- Were chosen beneficiary of the annual Delaware Pretty in Pink Breast Cancer Benefit
- Participated in the National Smoke Out Radio Event on WMMR

our ambitious plans for the coming year:
SERVICE
- Increase our phone counseling to serve 50 additional patients
- Present monthly tele-seminars and webinars on nutritional and immune support
- Provide more efficient and more frequent patient follow-up communication
TECHNOLOGY
- Enhance our health professionals database
- Offer all of our publications in electronic versions
- Improve our online technology capabilities to provide downloadable and archived information
OUTREACH
- Expand our Youth Nutrition and Prevention Program beyond the Philadelphia area
- Enroll 50 new health professionals in our Holistic Cancer Certification Training Program
- Expand our college campus outreach initiative and student internship opportunities
- Deliver Spanish programs to Latinos in Florida, California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, & New York
- Collaborate with more hospital community outreach programs
