Amazon Will Donate a Portion of Your Purchase Amount to BeatCancer.org.
BeatCancer.org can receive donations from purchases made on Amazon through their new AmazonSmile Foundation. AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support BeatCancer.org every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll get the same prices, selection and convenience you are accustomed to at Amazon.com, with the added bonus that the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to BeatCancer.org.
Tens of millions of products on AmazonSmile are eligible for donations. You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages.
The program is only be available to shoppers who visit Amazon via a special web address — www.smile.amazon.com — instead of the normal Amazon.com homepage. The first time you sign in, you will be prompted to “pick your own charitable organization.” Just type in Center for Advancement in Cancer Education and click on Search then SELECT. After that, the portal will remember your selection, and all future eligible purchases will result in a donation. You can use your existing Amazon.com account on AmazonSmile if you have one, or create a new account if you don’t. Your shopping cart, wish list, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings will remain the same. However, only registry purchases made on AmazonSmile will generate donations, so be sure to share the new portal address with your friends and family.
If you shop on smile.amazon.com using an internet browser on your desktop or laptop computer, mobile phone, or tablet (including any Kindle Fire device), then your AmazonSmile purchases will be eligible for donations. Purchases made using an Amazon Shopping App or Kindle E-reader device are not currently eligible for donations.
