Dear Susan,

Joan and I could not let this holiday season pass without sending a few words to you.
One word in particular, “THANKS”.

I feel I owe my current health status to you and haven’t had the chance to thank you directly.
Others too have helped a great deal, particularly Jim and my wife. But you were the conduit that put us in the right direction.

At the rate you are doing things, surely your life will be tremendously satisfying.

We would hope that on one of our visits to Philly, we could stop for a while, if for nothing else at least to say hello.
