Dear Dr. Randi,

This note doesn’t seem adequate, but please accept it as a token of my appreciation and heartfelt “THANKS” for all you have done and are doing for me. You have blessed me and encouraged me more than you will ever know and far more than my words can express. Your patience with me is unparalleled. Your understanding of me seems almost uncanny. And your treatment of me is so special that I feel like I am the only patient that you have. Well done, good and faithful servant! God has gifted you in a very special way for serving others — you are doing a superb job. I look forward eagerly to each of our counseling sessions, not only for the information you will impart but as a visit with a good friend.

And a friend is truly a gift from God. THANK YOU, Dr. Randi!! You have given me hope for a future — and someday in that future I hope to meet you in person. In the meantime, may you be as blessed as richly (or more so!) than it has been possible for you to make someone very, very special.
