I have been working on improving our diet over the past couple years and have been to a lecture by Dr. Silberstein in the Chicago area. I took pages and pages of notes then and also took 4 pages of notes during her teleconference. I'm happy if I can make even one change in the quality of our diet. When Dr. Silberstein mentioned the importance of drinking a good quality green tea I just had to email her and ask for a recommendation. I usually stand in front of all the boxes of teas in the grocery store and make a good guess. She did make a recommendation to me and I am so grateful for that. Also, when I listen to her, even if I have heard it before, it helps keep me on track. It's not easy sticking to a healthy diet when everyone around you doesn't seem to care.

Dr. Silberstein doesn't even know it, but she has helped us tremendously through her education. We just received a letter from my husband's doctor saying my husband is "cured" of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Of course, we are absolutely thrilled about this news but we also know how important it is to STAY proactive in our health! Looking forward to more education!

In your 30 years at CACE you have helped 30,000 cancer patients. Now you can make that 30,001. Our son, Charles Lawrence S, has gotten through the full protocol of treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma with advice from Randi G. Shayne, N.D., your Patient Services Director. He has recovered and looks fantastic and, above all, feels well.

The 30th Anniversary Gala Celebration was a fitting tribute to you and the Center’s innovative work in Cancer.
