Dear Susan,

I am so impressed by your knowledge, your energy, & your generosity. Without getting too flowery – you are like a candle in the darkness.

Your in-service for our nurses was very well received & appreciated. It is important for all of us to know what resources are available to assist our own cancer clients. I prepared more copies of the info. & distributed it to the rest of the staff. In-services like this should be open to all.

For your own info. – there is a pediatric center just opened in Plymouth Meeting. It is a sub-acute unit for children who are chronically or critically ill.

Enclosed are some flyers. They are really nice folk.

Again – as always it is a pleasure being with you. You are appreciated!

Dear Susan,

I cannot measure the value of the Center For Advancement In Cancer Education in tangible terms, just as the value of human life cannot be graded. That said, please accept this small contribution of my appreciation to you for your unstinting commitment to helping those facing grave decisions about how to treat their illness in the most intelligent, rational, and common sense manner.

I can safely state that I for one would have been a lost cause if not for you and your organization. Faced with a terminal prostate cancer diagnosis and prognosis of two years to live when doctors recommended radiation therapy and combined hormonal blockade, I had to make a quick decision about whether I would submit to dangerous radiation and alterations of body functions.

You came to my rescue before I turned to traditional medicine’s “quick fix” solutions and glib reassurances. I believe that these treatments would have ultimately caused me to suffer painful, irreparable side effects, particularly from radiation therapy. Thanks to you, I chose a long term solution that not only improved my general level of health, but also expanded my awareness and consciousness.

I have sought help from other agencies that are supposed to help those recovering from cancer, but have found little of the “human factor” I found at your center. The organization that you built from scratch is a marvel of knowledge, information and sound judgment about treating the mysterious disease whose collective symptoms are named “cancer”. I don’t know of any other cancer support agency with such a well informed, broad based approach to alternative treatments for cancer.

Your total commitment to helping me and others with cancer echoes in the minds of all of us whom you have helped. The self-sacrifice you willingly undertook in the face of a daunting medical establishment and the lack of mainstream support is only one facet pointing to you as a truly remarkable person. You can rest assured that I will support your agency, the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education, in any way I can.

Most Respectfully,
Frank J.
