BeatCancer.Org: Top-Rated Nonprofit Again!

2016 - 07 - 21 | Author: Susan Silberstein PhD

Great Non-Profits 2016 Top-RatedThanks to all of you who wrote words of praise! Because of all of your great responses, the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education has again been honored with the prestigious Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits.org, a leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations. We are truly excited to be named a Top-Rated Nonprofit for our seventh year in a row!

Our 2016 Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive online reviews that BeatCancer.org received – reviews written by volunteers, donors, clients, and health professionals. At the time this article was written, out of 130 persons who had posted personal experiences with BeatCancer.org, 127 (98%) gave our organization a five-star rating.

Here are some of the most recent posts:

“When our youngest daughter was diagnosed with leukemia at age 4 …the Center was an amazing resource and support, as I had weekly nutritional counseling sessions to help our daughter improve her immune system during treatments… This center is one of a kind and they touched our lives at a very difficult time.”

”I am forever thankful that I found such an upstanding non-profit and will always be supportive. They keep it personal and I like the feel of that. I can only imagine how it would feel to have them help me if I came to them because I had cancer. Dr. Susan Silberstein is an outstanding individual. She takes ‘caring’ seriously. Her staff is amazing to work with. I can't say enough.”

A while back I worked for several years at the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education, as a volunteer and then on staff, offering counseling and psychological services. I was always impressed with the sensitivity, knowledge and care for patients. I was especially impressed with the many circumstances in which I observed meaningful improvement in patient health, often despite negative prognoses of the attending physicians.”

I learned about BeatCancer.org while attending a conference on preventative health care. I found the people to be extremely attentive, passionate and helpful. Their educational materials and research are thorough. I'm grateful to have these resources to share with my own clients... Thank you, BeatCancer.org, for giving us choices.”

“I support beatcancer.org wholeheartedly, as they are making a difference directly with those seeking answers, whether they chose the allopathic/chemo route or completely holistic. I recommend them in my speaking engagements as a health advocate and 6 year cancer overcomer! NO chemo, radiation, surgery. They are my heroes!”

“I am a cancer healing coach and I turn to this organization and particularly to Susan for great up-to-date information, research, articles, helpful publications and uplifting stories to help me serve my clients better. I really appreciate the work that this organization does and I can't say enough in terms of how needed it is in our communities today with cancer rates still on the rise.”

“Just having someone to bounce my feelings and ideas off of was priceless, as most people do not understand or are equipped to help with the anxiety, complexity of information, and emotions…. I continue to recommend Beatcancer.org to anyone touched by cancer, and I am happy to say I am alive and well, continuing my journey of health and wellness, and staying out of the sick care system! Thank you Dr. Silberstein, Dr. Randy, and all the volunteers at Beat Cancer for your selfless much needed support!”

These posts and many others like them mean more to all of us at BeatCancer.org than you could possibly imagine.  For almost 39 years, our staff and volunteers have been toiling constantly and struggling financially to make our special contribution to the cancer field. When we learn of your appreciation, we are revitalized!
