Patient Services Director

Dr. Randi Shayne has served as BeatCancer.Org’s Patient Services Director since 2000, providing personalized education, compassionate guidance, and ongoing support to individuals and families facing cancer. With more than 40 years of experience educating and guiding individuals and groups, she is recognized for her warm, nonjudgmental approach and her ability to meet each patient where they are, always respecting their personal values, beliefs, and treatment decisions.

Dr. Shayne helps patients navigate every stage of their journey by providing realistic, evidence-informed education on nutrition, lifestyle, environmental factors, and other complementary approaches that support overall wellness before, during, and after conventional cancer treatment. Her goal is to empower each individual with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions that promote cellular health, improve quality of life, and support long-term wellness.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM), now known as the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon—the oldest accredited naturopathic medical school in the United States. She was also a longtime voting member of the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PANP).

Throughout her career, Dr. Shayne has sought specialized training to better serve individuals facing life’s most difficult challenges. She has received certification and advanced training in working with survivors of sexual abuse, at-risk youth, pregnant teens, and incarcerated individuals, reflecting her lifelong commitment to compassionate, whole-person care.

An accomplished educator and speaker, Dr. Shayne has lectured at medical schools, hospitals, universities, colleges, and professional conferences throughout her career. She has coordinated and presented countless workshops, seminars, and educational programs, tailoring each presentation to meet the unique needs of her audience. Her extensive knowledge of nutrition, wellness, environmental health, and consumer choices continues to help thousands of individuals make informed decisions that support healthier lives.

Today, Dr. Shayne continues her work through BeatCancer.Org, combining decades of clinical knowledge, educational expertise, and genuine compassion to help patients and their loved ones find hope, understanding, and practical guidance throughout their cancer journey.
